Thanksgiving and Getting Ready

So it has been about a month since I last posted. I just haven't really had anything to talk or post about. So I am going to do better trying to find something to post about from now on.

Anyway, we got to go up to Heber for Thanksgiving this year. It was so good to see my family. It was a little different this year because only four of us 8 kids were able to be there for the meal. Us, Ginger, Sam, and Ernie. We all sat at one table to eat instead of 2 or 3. It was kinda weird not having a huge houseful of people. Of course my mom made a great meal and of course too much food to feed only 8 adults; left overs are always good though. I am so thankful for my mother and the hard work she puts into showing her love for her children. I am so thankful for a wonderful husband and little girl that I have been blessed with. Especially in these hard time I am grateful for a roof over my head and food to put on the table.

Kelly loved being up there. She is talking so much more and she loves to say "Papa" and "Abby" (Ben's little girl Keely's age). They had so much fun together.

Friday we helped my mom put up her Christmas lights, because that is the only way it will get done, and it didn't take us long at all. I was suprised with how quickly we worked. I should have taken a picture of the final product but I forgot. Keely loved being outside helping us get all the lights out. Here is a picture of her....

On Saturday we went like we do every year to "Greg's tree farm" and got our Christmas tree. I call it Gregs tree farm becuase he took us to this place on the rim where nobody goes and there are just tons of Christmas trees. It is so much fun finding a tree and cutting it down ourselves. And $15 is a whole lot better than $40 if we bought it at a store or something. It was really cold this year on the rim though. There was snow and Keely loved playing in it, and trying to throw "snowballs" at us.

Keely and Macey

Now I am so ready for Christmas to get here! Well not specifically Christmas day but just the wonderful season of it. I think most of us feel that way. This year is going to be really fun with Keely older. Everytime she sees Santa or anything Christmas like, she says "Ho Ho Ho. " It's so cute. I hope everyone had a good and safe Thanksgiving!
We tried to get a family picture but Keely wouldn't have that. She would rather be playing in the snow, so this is what we got. :)

Hey we were up in good ole Heber too! Isn't it awesome to cut down your own tree? And it has been way too long since we've seen each other. We need to get together for lunch or something like old times!
