Because I'm Four!

Keely had her Birthday, and yes, she is now 4! Remember, when I said last post or so, that she would always say "When I'm four, I can do this or that...?" Well now that she is four, and I ask her to do something she will say "Oh right, I'm four I can do that" It is so funny. She says it all the time. "I'm strong now, cuz I'm four! "

She had a good birthday. Grandma Nelson took her to eat at McDonalds, and we had her cake. Oh her cake. For a whole year now, she has been asking for a Belle cake for her birthday. What's a mother to do put fulfill that little wish? It wasn't the best, but she loved it.
Keely is such a fun girl. We love her so much!

What we've been up to....

It seems we get busier and busier as life goes on. Shawn is working hard juggling his schedule from day to day. With working full time, trying to meet his quota at work, going to school full time, studying, and being the executive secretary in our ward, we wonder how he does it. But he just keeps pushing on, taking a day at a time, week at a time, semester at a time. We know it will end. Just the stage in life we are in now. We sure love him.
The girls have been so fun lately. Keely is so excited to turn four. I swear there are going to be many life changing moments when it's her birthday. Five times a day she says "When I'm four then I can eat my dinner all gone. "When I 'm four then I can play it all by my self." "When I'm four then I can...." The list goes on and on. It's so funny. She is into video games big time lately. She wanted to play Lego Batman all the time, but she was always asking for my help, it's just too hard for her. So we got her a Littlest Pet Shop game on the Wii, and she asks to play it all the time. She love games on the computer PBS Kids. She can navigate throught that website like a pro, and would play for hours if I would let her. She is an electronics girl that's for sure. Here's Keely and her cousin Nathan playing Lego Batman. He is really good. He is four so Keely thinks when she is four she will be good too. :) Lydia never sits still. She is constantly moving. She is the biggest tease. She is alwasy teasing Keely and making Keely mad. She is talking more and more, and she won't use her hands to eat anymore, she has to use a utensil, which is frustrating sometimes. She will climb up on a chair and finish Keely's breakfast all the time. She loves to swing. She pulls my hand to take her outside to swing 20 times a day. She is addicted

For Halloween Keely was Princess Presto from Super Why, and Lydia was a giraffe that Keely used when she was a baby. They had so much fun at the trunk or treat. They had games, and of course the candy. Lydia really got the hang of it, and would stick her pail out to everyone. They had a parade with all the kids, and Keely was "marching" it was so funny. She was so serious. Then on Sunday, Grandma Nelson had a mini "carnival" at her house, since the kids couldn't got trick or treating on Halloween. She had a bean back toss, cake walk, fishing, and trick or treating on all the bedroom doors. She is so fun, and the kids loved it.
Carnival at grandma's house. Waiting in line for the bean bag toss.Keely marching in the paradeWork for Paradise Cleaners seems to have gotten busier for me. I feel like I can never keep up anymore, and I have no down time with housework, working, ect. I am determined to work till Shawn is done with school. I can do it! I have been trying out at stroller from my sister in law Chrissy to see if I want to buy it from her. I am loving it. I can go running whenever I want now! I don't have to wake up early in the morning before Shawn went to work. Like that was happening anyway. I am determined to get my body back into shape. Horray for Sharla!

It's Autumn Time, It's Autumn Time!

I think Autumn has finally come! The tempatures are cooling and I am one happy woman! My mood really does change this time of year. My favorite thing to do is leave the back door open, so the girls can run inside and out all day long. Isn't that the best? Well last Tuesday I was up at my sister Kim's house in Taylor, and we decided to go to the Snowflake pumpkin patch. It was beautiful. The sky was dark with clouds, we were in a huge garden full of pumpkins galore, it was perfect. Keely and Lydia had so much fun with their cousins running around the acres full of pumpkins.
Happy Fall!

5 Years and Counting

Shawn did something unexpected this year for our anniversary. He planned a trip in secrecy for us. He even called to get my sister Ginger and Chrissy to watch our girls! Pretty impressive huh? I had no idea where we were going until I saw the signs on the way there. He did a very good job. So where did he take us you ask? Well I have never been to Las Vegas, so we went! No no no, we didn't gamble or anything of the nature that normal goers go and do, we just went to sight see. Those hotels are absolutely amazing. We walked about 15 miles going into all the big hotels on the strip. It was really weird being away from the girls, and we couldn't wait to get back to them, it was nice to take a moment (well two days) and just focus on each other. Very rejuvenating. Well now I can say that I have been to Viva Las Vegas. Not that I care to go back ever again (because of the filth), but see I have proof I've been....Shawn was taking a big chunk out of that giant jelly belly statue of liberty. Tasty. We went to Italy, Rome, Egypt, Africa... man we really get around fast huh? :) This was my favorite hotel... This is inside the Venetian , is that the one with the gondola? Well whatever that one is called. I liked that one the best. This is the inside, the ceilings were amazing!
Can you believe it's been 5 years? Neither can I!

4th of July

I am behind with my blogging. Go figure...Year after year we go to Heber at my parent's house for the 4th of July. It has always been my favorite holiday of the year. There's just nothing like being in Heber for the fireworks and family. This year all of my 8 brothers, that's including my brother in laws, helped my dad build his work shop in the back yard. It was so cool to see my brothers getting together to build something and helping each other. They were able to frame and get the roof on. We of course BBQed and saw the fireworks after. We already miss the cool weather and family. Here are some pictures of the weekend....

In my mom's front yard. She saw her other cousin being pushed by her older brother, and Lydia just climbed right in. She thought that was a great idea with those Tonka trucks.
Just starting to put the roof off.
Just the beginning of the shop. My dad was so excited to have these grown men help.
My good looking husband cutting the wood. He was the wood cutter. He now wants a chop saw...

Lydia is One!

Our little Lydia turned one years old on the 22nd of May. I can't believe have fast her year went. Between Shawn switching jobs 2 time, moving into the new house, working on the new house, ect. I really don't know where her first year went! Anyway, we had a little birthday bash here at our house. I was so excited to be able to do it in our own home with out having to go to a park like we did Keely's. So we just have some family over to watch Lydia eat some cake and have ice cream.

Anyway, here's a little about Lydia.....she is such a busy busy little girl. I know I have said that before, but she just goes from one thing to the next, you can hardly sit with that girl, and church is so hard trying to contain her. She was that way ever since she was born! Haha. She is walking quite a bit, her instinct to walk is overcoming her instinct to crawl as of these last couple of days. She can walk the length of the room pretty steady now. In a week she'll be a walking pro, she tries all the time. She loves Keely so much! It's a good think Lydia wasn't born first, because she would be bored silly. When we are at a play group or something she only has eyes for Keely and will laugh at what ever she does. It makes me so happy to hear them laughing together all the time. She loves to eat, and isn't picky, which is very helpful. She weighed in at the doctors 20lbs 10 ounces, and was 31 in. long. I guess she is in the 90% for her height. I didn't realize she was tall. Maybe she'll be tall like her daddy. She has 8 teeth. She loves balls and cars, which is funny, because we really don't have that stuff around here. She is a good sleeper, takes two - 2 hour naps a day and sleeps 11 hours at night. Hmm what else. She is so happy. It's hard to get a smile out of her from a stranger, but if she knows you, she will smile all day. We sure love her!

Long Overdue Post

It has been a really long time since I last posted, and there really hasn't been a reason why, just laziness I guess. Well we have been busy in other areas. We pulled up all our tile in our house, and replaced it with new flooring and carpet. I've been painting trim, walls, and doors. Replacing doorknobs and such. Replacing the bathroom flooring. So ya, I guess we have been busy, trying to get our house the way we want it. Pictures will come soon, but we don't have any baseboards yet, so I will wait till we get those in a couple weeks or so. It is fun making our house the way we want it, but also stressful. Paint colors....ugg are so hard to find the right color. It drives me mad. I painted all downstairs, a tan color, but the more I look at it, the more I don't like it. but I think I found the color to repaint it. It's just so much work.

During cousin's sprink breaks, we got to go to the zoo twice. Once with the Nelson's and once with my mom and sisters. We love to go to the zoo and walk around. I didn't get any pictures with my mom and sisters, but here are some of the Nelson trip.I love this picture with the stroller. We got a double stroller, and if you can see Keely in the back with her cousin JP, they are so little that it became a triple stroller. I am so glad that we got it, it makes trips like that a whole lot easier. The girls have been so fun lately. Keely is listening so well now. I put her in a dance class, that she loves. I think it gives her something to look forward to and makes her feel important. She loves to dance. Lydia is in to EVERYTHING! She is such a busy, busy little girl. Keely was just opposite, I am not sure what I am going to do with Lydia. The other day, I found Lydia playing in the toilet water, pulling down all the toilet paper, getting into the trash, ect, ect. She is nonstop going. I don't know what I am going to do when she starts walking.

Keely loves to feed Lydia. She will even be better at it with the next baby. That will be nice.

Easter was a good quiet day at home, with conference and everything. Shawn even made the girls a castle to play in on the stairs. We went to Grandma Nelson's for dinner, and a little egg hunt. I didn't get a picture of them in their Easter dresses the Sunday before, but they were cute. Caslte, with two princesses.Lydia has been standing by herself lately, and gets so proud.Lydia and her cousin Zoey find their eggs on the blanket area.
That is all for now, hopefully by my next post, I will have before and after pictures of our house. I can't wait! :)
